Litter Court Case Success

LitterTest Valley Borough Council has brought another successful prosecution for littering.  On Thursday, 6 September 2018 at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court,  the offender pleaded guilty by post to the offence of littering under Section 87 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. The offence took place in Eight Acres in Romsey where the offender was witnessed littering into the watercourse. The offender was ordered to pay a £120 fine, a £30 victim surcharge and £875 costs.
