Romsey parking consultation

Friday 4 July will mark the start of a three week public consultation on a variety of proposed on-street parking and traffic measures in Romsey.

Where possible the proposals reflect public comments received during an informal consultation carried out in January this year.

The proposed changes would see an increase in the overall number of on-street parking spaces in the town centre. The Council will also be taking over responsibility from the police for parking enforcement for roads in the town which are restricted to access only, such as Albany Road and Knatchbull Close. Other on-street parking restrictions for various additional roads in Romsey are also proposed.

Full details of the proposals and drawings will be available to view at the Council’s offices in the Former Magistrates’ Court from Friday 4 July to Friday 25 July. An exhibition of the proposals will also be held at Romsey Town Hall between 2pm and 6pm on Friday 11 July, Thursday 17 July and Monday 21 July, where Council staff will be available to answer questions.

During the consultation period the plans can also be viewed on the Council’s website: www.testvalley.gov.uk/consultationportal
